GKinetic selected to pitch at EU’s Sustainable Energy Week 2019

15 May, 2019

Vincent Mc Cormack, Managing Director of GKinetic Energy

On the 20th of June, 2019, our Managing Director and turbine concept inventor, Vincent Mc Cormack will pitch at the European Commission’s Policy Conference as part of European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2019. Vincent was one of 16 company representatives selected to pitch in the Energy Lab portion of the event after successfully submitting a proposal to participate in the conference.

The EUSEW conference takes place from the 18th to the 20th of June in Brussels and is the largest European conference dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe. Last year’s conference saw over 2,500 participants and more than 7,000 live stream followers. The Energy Lab is a pitching event that takes place in front of a live audience of policy makers and a panel of leading energy experts who will give advice and feedback following each pitch.

Vincent’s pitch will focus on the huge opportunity to harness hydrokinetic energy resources to produce renewable energy and to instil confidence in this growing sector. He will also highlight how GKinetic’s innovative business model has led to our involvement in a number of projects including DesignPro’s Horizon 2020 project and +CityxChange in order to scale up our technology one step at a time collaboratively and cost effectively.

We are highly looking forward to the event and see it as a great opportunity to continue growing our network as well as to promote this niche segment of renewable energy. You can read more about his proposed Energy Lab on the EUSEW website.
