Our work has been implemented by our novel approach to grow a dedicated team of industry and academia. A committed team of 20 highly skilled experts are currently working on the development of GKinetic’s technology.
With over 30 years’ experience in project management and a successful entrepreneur, Vincent Mc Cormack is the CEO and Project Manager of GKinetic Energy Ltd. and serves as a board member on the MaREI Governance Board and MaREI Industry Advisory Board. Vincent is a proven business person and has generated local employment in County Limerick over the past 18 years. As the project’s original concept developer, Vincent has had hands on experience developing GKinetic’s technology and actively building a network of industry projects.
An extensive team is now working on the GKinetic project, these include recognised experts in the field of tidal energy, CFD modelling, machine building and electrical PTO systems. Collaborations and partners include the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), the Centre for Marine and Renewable Energy Ireland (MaREI), NUI Galway (NUIG), Ryan Institute, DesignPro Ltd., Science Foundation Ireland (SFI), Numerics Warehouse, Shannon Foynes Port Company, Wind Works and the Limerick Local Enterprise Office. In addition, the company has a full time NUIG PhD student working on the GKinetic project.
John Mc Cormack is the Operations & Safety Manager at GKinetic Energy Ltd. and has an established track record for ensuring the highest level of safety at all times. Operating across several businesses, John has strong experience in the building industry and has been involved in assisting in GKinetic’s marine energy operations since 2011.
